I started at Alliance Bank in 1981 and have worked in all areas of the bank except for the teller area. In my current role, I oversee consumer banking which includes consumer loans, mortgage, tellers, and personal banking. I love the variety that comes with the position.

I have been doing mortgage lending for the past 14 years utilizing loan programs such as FHA, VA, construction loans and Freddie Macs. I help customers with purchasing a new home or lowering their interest rate by refinancing or taking out a loan for home improvements.

What I like best about being in banking is helping people. Customers come to Lake City to buy a second home, or come in for a simple checking account or automobile loan and come back later for a mortgage. I strive to provide the extra special touch and will go out of my way to assist whether it’s meeting a customer at the construction site to deliver a draw or being flexible on meeting with clients in Red Wing.

The greatest satisfaction I have is when I help customers with a successful mortgage and they refer me to someone else for their mortgage. I believe in working hands on. Some mortgage customers may not yet bank at Alliance Bank when they begin their mortgage. If by the end of closing they want to establish a retail banking relationship, I know I’ve done a good job.
